We enjoyed the calm, relaxed atmosphere. The owners and staff were extremely helpful. We loved the friendly reception that we received from Charlie and Rosie, the cats. Unlimited coffee, teabags and milk was most welcome.
There was a beautiful rug on the landing of the stairs but we felt that it was a bit of a trip hazard.

At Grovefield Manor you recieve personal hospitality from the owner lacking in brand name hotels. A really English hotel experience in a beautifully furnished property. The breakfast was what you would expect in an establishment such as this, freshly prepared fruit, choice of cooked items, fish and ham and eggs. Opposite the hotel is Branksham Chine where you can walk to Bournmouth in 20 minutes. Buses stop right outside the hotel. The no 50 bus takes you to Swanage via the Sandbanks ferry. A trip not to be missed. In fact the hotel owner took us in his van a few stops along the bus route as we were unable to get on the bus outside the hotel as it was full. Passengers get off at Canford Cliffs so we were able to get on the bus there. Hows that for service!

The management were, caring and helpful and had a sense of humour. Room was not large but adequate and very clean. Bathroom was kept spotless.
The only fault, if you can call it that, was the light which came on when we entered the bathroom! During the night this was a bit of a nuisance.
